Due to legislative changes, effective December 4, 2025, all persons presenting a document for filing (in person) into the real property records of Lavaca County, are required to provide a photo ID to the clerk. Texas Local Government Code §191.010 (b)

The Lavaca County Clerk’s Office will be closed January 9, 2026, to perform computer software updates.
