  • The Lavaca County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for a part-time Courtroom bailiff. Starting pay $35.00 an hour.
    All applicants must be TCOLE certified licensed peace officers and will be required to obtain the Courtroom Security Specialist certification at county expense. 
    Applicants must be able to stand prolong periods of time and able to go up and down staircases.

  • Applications are being accepted for the position of Lavaca County Auditor. Qualifications for the position are per Texas Local Government Code Sec. 84.006. A county auditor must be:
    (1)  a competent accountant with at least two years' experience in auditing and accounting;
    (2)  thoroughly competent in public business details; and
    (3)  a person of unquestionably good moral character and intelligence.
