Judge Ronald Leck was elected in 2002 and reelected in 2006.  He serves as the presiding officer of the Commissioners' Court and is the judge for civil and misdemeanor criminal cases in County Court.  His many duties are judicial, administrative and ceremonial.

In the 31 years between 1971 and 2002, Judge Leck served with the United States Marine Corps and in many public safety positions including law enforcement administrator, fire fighter and emergency medical techinican.

He is a graduate of three law enforcement academies including the FBI National Academy in Virginia.  He received his Texas Master Peace Officer Certificate in 1997.

He and his Wife Mary are residents of Shiner.
